2020 Flames of Hope Torch Procession

October 3, 2020  |  6:00PM

The Illuminations of Life Ceremony and Torch Procession is a moving experience that promotes awareness, encourages support for people touched by breast cancer and fosters a sense of paying it forward.

The iconic Illuminations of Life ceremony and the Torch procession  is the pinnacle of the Flames of Hope Weekend. This tribute honors breast cancer survivors and remembers those lost with a moving program witnessed by thousands as it unfolds on the Rhode Island State House steps.

The State Ballet of Rhode Island tells a story through beautiful choreography, and is punctuated by the lighting of the state house in pink. At the conclusion of the ceremony, 150 torchbearers process to the Providence River Basin to light the largest WaterFire of the season.
