Hello friends I am asking for prayers as you know Jessie has stage IV metastatic breast cancer that spread to bones and unfortunately we got some more bad news last Friday. She found 2 lumps on her neck , she was sent immediately to get removed and to everyone’s surprise they where not cysts the are tumors that show signs of cancer. As you know she is currently on an aggressive medical path with her oncologist which includes Ibrance, her numbers where great meaning it was working . Unfortunately with the new findings of cancer it is now NOT effectively working, another surprise . As we wait for insurance pre auth (not patiently) and many tedious phone calls Jessie has had to make to Expedite for a full body scan which is mentally draining and daunting “Can you image fighting with insurance to save your life! .” She goes off for PET scan soon , after the scan is read by her oncology team there will be a new plan and course of treatment . Sadly this will involve IV chemo and we all know what this means… She will endure what she has 2 times in the past with IV chemo . Trips to breast health center where she will have to sit and have chemo invade her body thru a PIC that will be put in her chest, she will then lose her beautiful hair for the 3rd time ! And all the other side effects that come along with chemo. These are least of her worries she will have another fight of her life time to combat this cancer ! My daughter is a victor and a child of Christ so I ask all of you to pray for her and our family! This is mental torture but we all have faith in God, her oncologist and his team . They are on top of the latest medications and immunology therapy I pray God guides them in Jessie’s fight . As a mother watching her child go thru such pain mentally and physically is something I can not describe, so I too ask for prayers. My child is such a pink warrior I never seen anybody fight so hard to live.
