This year will be my second time with the ladies of Gloria Gemma and Flames of Hope. I met some of the most inspiring women through Flames of Hope and I hope to meet so many more.
I was diagnosed with DCIS in March of 2019. I underwent six and a half weeks of radiation therapy every day and Tamoxifen for a year and a half. A year and a half later, I formed blood clots due to the Tamoxifen and a major surgery and have since been taken off.
Dealing and battling with DCIS was scary and still IS scary to this day. My Hope is that with the donations given to me through this page, is to help Gloria Gemma provide the care and resources needed for anyone else going through something like this. Being 23 at the time, it felt like the world was collapsing around me. But, through my family, friends and Gloria Gemma, I knew I could do it.
