My 2021 Flames of Hope Torch Fundraising Page

Jane Iannetta
Ten years ago this past January I received news that paused my world when I was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. What followed was a year of doctor appointments, surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation treatment, then months and months of PT and Lymphedema therapy. I have learned so much since my diagnosis not least of which is to be kind to others, pay it forward, and thrive as I live my best life while taking nothing for granted.
In those ten years I retired from my 32 year corporate career at IBM, got connected to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation, and ultimately landed my dream job with them helping to provide support to so many touched by cancer. Now in my 7th year with the foundation, I am thrilled and proud to be part of an organization that continues to provide free holistic programs, support and services to tens of thousands of people touched by cancer since 2004, all paid for by generous donations from people like you.
Saturday, October 2nd, I will be carrying a torch for my ninth year in the annual Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation’s ‘Illuminations of Life Torch Ceremony and Procession’. The ceremony will begin at 7:00PM at the Rhode Island statehouse steps. In celebration of my ten year cancerversary, Vinny and Alex will each be carrying a torch with me.
In order to carry, we need to raise a minimum of $500 per torch. I am reaching out to each of you in hopes you are able to make a donation to support our fundraising to carry our torches, and support this wonderful foundation. 100% of your donation is fully tax deductible and helps the Gloria Gemma Foundation to continue to fulfill its mission and fund free holistic programs, support and services to so many touched by cancer.
Thank you for your ongoing support and generosity.
Love, Jane (and Vinny and Alex too!)
