Pink has always been a favorite color of mine, but until recently it has meant more to me than ever. A month ago today I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Everything about this whole situation is surreal, especially admitting it. You never think it’ll be you, until it’s you. When they say it takes a village, it really does. The overwhelming support of my family and friends is beyond what I could ever imagine. I am beyond lucky for each and every one of you always, but especially now. It’ll be a journey, but I got this. Walk beside me on October 5 for the 5k and if you can’t make it consider donating to this amazing cause. My advice to everyone, do your self breast exams, as early detection is the best protection.
