In October of 2024 I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. I went through 8 rounds of chemotherapy, 22 rounds of radiation, a double mastectomy and one year of hormone therapy. In March 2025 I was deemed to be cancer free, however I have a genetic mutation called Chek2 that is believed to be the cause of my cancer. As a result, I am at a higher risk of cancer returning. I am currently still in treatment to prevent that.
