My 2026 Gloria Gemma 5k @ Flames of Hope Fundraising Page

Carissa Leveille Nylin

Carissa Leveille Nylin

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

2026 has been an unexpected year for me.

Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer. While I have been very private about my journey, I am now ready to share my story in the hope that it can help others.

Over the past five months, I have undergone chemotherapy and am incredibly grateful to have completed that phase of treatment. I am now preparing for surgery, which will be followed by radiation.

Like so many others facing a breast cancer diagnosis, this journey has brought challenges, uncertainty, and moments that have tested me in ways I never imagined.

Throughout my treatment, I have seen firsthand how important support, resources, and community are for patients and their families.

That is why I am raising money for the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation and its incredible mission of providing education, support, wellness programs, and hope to those affected by breast cancer.

There are several ways you can help:

Yesterday- June 6th - back out in the world for a paddle and it was such a remarkable milestone for me. 💛 Taking it one day at a time, staying positive, and carrying on with gratitude and hope.

Treatment #4 — goodbye hair, for now. 💛 Losing my hair is just another step in this journey, but it won’t take away my strength. Taking it one day at a time, staying positive, and carrying on with gratitude and hope.

January 9th — my first treatment. So grateful for my chemo nurse, Jill. Her kindness, strength, and care helped me face this day with courage. She is, and always will be, my real-life superhero. 💛
