2026 was an unexpected year for me and my family. At 41 years old, I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer. Being a parent and going through chemotherapy was one of the hardest things I have ever experienced.
Thankfully, life is looking up. I have finished my first round of chemotherapy, had a successful surgery, and am now completing radiation. After radiation and some time to heal, I've decided to do another round of chemotherapy as what I am calling my little "insurance policy."
I have been incredibly supported by my family, friends, chemo nurse and team at Dana Farber throughout this journey.
Having a positive mindset is so important so with that said, I am feeling positive this cancer won’t come back.
Now, as I continue on my healing journey, I want part of it to be focusing on helping others who are facing their own cancer diagnoses. And I have chosen to do so by raising money and awareness for the Gloria Gemma Foundation.

Today’s donation our family made for $100 is in honor of my chemo nurse Jill. You have one of the hardest jobs in the world yet you show up with such care each and every week.

Yesterday- June 6th - back out in the world for a paddle and it was such a remarkable milestone for me. 💛 Taking it one day at a time, staying positive, and carrying on with gratitude and hope.
Treatment #4 — goodbye hair, for now. 💛 Losing my hair is just another step in this journey, but it won’t take away my strength. Taking it one day at a time, staying positive, and carrying on with gratitude and hope.
