2023 Flames of Hope
Christina Andrade
Christina Andrade
After taking one year off from carrying a torch, I knew there was no way I could not be involved in this event again. The weekend, the evening, and the flame is what keeps me going year after year. In October of 2014, I was told I had breast cancer. They said it was the “best diagnosis to have”. In December, I went to have surgery, and was told there was a second tumor and it was far more aggressive. I learned that day, there is no “best diagnosis”. Having cancer was the scariest time in my life. As positive as I am, I live with fear every single day and I am certain that this anxiety will never go away.
But I know that Gloria Gemma will also never go away. I know this organization will always be there for me. And I will always need them.
So…Please help me support Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation by making a contribution to my torch fundraiser. Feel free to share this page with your family and friends. Every dollar raised will help me and every other survivor who is touched by Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation.
Thank you all so much 💗
